On Earth As It Is In Heaven |
I have a modest theory about
musical taste. People who are naturally anxious seek out music to relax them,
while people who are naturally low-key seek out music to excite. You'll see I'm
the second category for the most part, and that a lot of my musical taste was
formed when I lived 2 years in Scotland. Just about everything here is a
representation of a group on the edge between one style of music and another
(Celtic/African/Middle Eastern/ classical and jazz/funk/acid/techno/Guatemalan).
All this music was selected with writing in mind. (And by the way, I did finally
finish that book, after 8 years.)
