this tweaked surprise photo of sheila reminds me of a still from the dream sequences in wim wenders' ``until the end of the world'' the fresh needles that have sprouted out are a much lighter shade of green sheila poses against the tree-packed hills at the turnaround spot of the trail
after hopping off the firetrail, the path reenters the trees
first stop in dead horse ranch state park cottonwood, az. the tevasci marsh stands out in the desert surrounding it

tevasci marsh in dead horse ranch state park. you can see the traditional desert around the edges of the lush marsh. a variety of birds, frogs, etc live in this marsh. we even saw a heron!
