		we spent most of the weekend reading and playing some music on the deck

while we were there, a cloud of smoke appeared in the distance and continued to grow larger. it turned out to be a huge fire (has consume 17,000 acres so far). here's a story about it	looking back up while hiking down	view from dan's cabin at the yuba river (you can see the chimney from their old place which got hit by a flood in 1960)
